Site Conversion: Keep What Works

A website can be doing an important job for your business and still feel like too much to look after. Perhaps it has grown through a paid theme, a page builder, plugins and several different subscriptions. Perhaps it is simply time for a clearer site that better reflects the business you run today.

That does not mean throwing away everything you have built. A site conversion starts with what already works: your pages, your message, the ways people contact you and the useful jobs the website does.

A site conversion is not a hosting migration

This is a site conversion, not a hosting migration. A hosting migration moves your current working website, database and email to a new host. A site conversion creates a new website around the parts worth keeping, then switches it over when it is ready.

You can keep the look people recognise, or use the opportunity to freshen it up. We keep existing page addresses where possible and redirect any that need to change, so old links still take visitors to the right place.

What can a new website still do?

Many useful website features do not need a long list of unrelated plugins. We first look at what the feature needs to achieve, then agree the simplest sensible way to include it. Depending on your brief, that can include:

Not every old feature should be copied word for word. Some may no longer help visitors. Some may be better handled by a trusted service that already specialises in that job. If a feature needs custom work, we scope it with you before we start.

Why people consider a conversion

WordPress itself can be a good fit, especially for a site that needs regular editing by a team. But older sites can collect costs and admin along the way: a premium theme, Elementor Pro or Divi, then separate plugins for forms, backups, security, search, bookings or newsletters. Each may have its own updates, account and renewal date.

A converted site is not about removing useful functionality. It is about keeping the moving parts that earn their place, and leaving behind the ones that do not.

Starting fresh works too

You do not need an old WordPress site to start this conversation. A new business can begin with the pages, forms and next steps it needs now, then add to the site when there is a good reason.

Whether you are starting fresh or converting an existing site, tell us what you need. We will look at the job the site needs to do, agree the scope and price with you, and then build from there.
